REWE digital Spainbelongs to REWE Group one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 390000 REWE digital overall there are over 2200 IT specialists who set standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and development of new technologies for the sector.
REWE digital Spain is located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga. As a team of 70 colleagues we drive innovation for REWE digital in Germany. The international Invoicing B2B Product Team is responsible for maintaining and further developing various applications related to wholesale invoicing within the REWE Group.
The team manages the billing of both warehouse and direct deliveries to REWE retailers as well as to external addition it handles intercompany invoicing within the REWE Group for example between REWE Markt GmbH and Penny Markt GmbH. Invoices are delivered to recipients through various channels such as electronically via EDIFACT messages or through our self-developed web application. The team also provides data to the REWE Groups SAP-based general ledger. Invoice generation and transmission are fully automated and completely integrated into REWEs merchandise management system.
The team distributed across Spain and Germany primarily communicates in English. It works in an agile self-organized and cross-functional manner enabling it to respond flexibly and efficiently to changing business requirements.
As part of the internationally focused NEO program new applications are also being developed in close collaboration with the RIAG wholesale team based in Austria.
As a IT Business Engineer you will work closely with the Product Owner and a cross-functional product team in a dynamic environment that offers exciting challenges and opportunities to make an impact.

- You analyze advise and deliver solutions: You collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements design solution scenarios and support the implementation process from concept to delivery. You maintain a holistic view of business needs: Through data and process analysis you identify optimization opportunities and translate requirements into clear user stories.
- You take ownership: You prepare plan coordinate and support product deployments to ensure smooth releases.
- You ensure product stability and quality: You perform functional and integration testing and contribute to incident analysis and resolution as part of the 2nd-level support process.
- A collaborative mindset and strong analytical skills: You are a team player who enjoys working in an agile environment. Your structured and analytical approach enables you to quickly understand complex business processes and document them through test cases process flows and diagrams.
- A relevant academic background: You hold a degree in Business Informatics Business Administration or a comparable qualification with a strong technical affinity.
- Relevant professional experience: You have experience in a similar role and demonstrate a proactive hands-on approach to problem-solving and delivery.
- Strong business analysis and requirements engineering skills: You are familiar with analyzing business requirements translating them into actionable specifications and working closely with software development teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: You are customer-focused collaborative and able to communicate effectively across both technical and business audiences.
- Data and database expertise: You have experience with data modeling SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or DB2.
- Testing knowledge: Experience with software testing and testing tools such as Xray XDM Spira or Cypress is considered an advantage.
- Additional technical skills: Basic programming knowledge (e.g. Java) project management experience and familiarity with merchandise management or ERP systems are a plus.
- Industry knowledge: Experience in the retail sector or the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is highly desirable. Knowledge of EDIFACT XML and Design Thinking methodologies is an advantage.
- Language skills: You are comfortable working in an English-speaking international environment; good German language skills are required for effective communication with stakeholders in a German-speaking business environment.
