The Product Manager for Premium Cards at DKB Code Factory will own the product backlog and roadmap for a new APIfirst Premium Cards domain turning strategic goals into reusable scalable card capabilities. You will lead roadmap decisions partner closely with Engineering and Architects and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes that enable new card experiences for millions of users.

yourresponsibilities:
  • Own and continuously evolve the Product Roadmap for Premium Cards making priorities milestones and cross-team dependencies transparent to stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritise the Product Backlog; ensure Epics and User Stories are implementationready with clear Acceptance Criteria.
  • Drive APIfirst product development: define API contracts collaborate on OpenAPI specifications and ensure solutions are reusable and scalable.
  • Lead discovery and validation activities using qualitative research experiments and metrics to prioritise work by customer value and operational impact.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional delivery with Engineering Architecture Business Analysts and Design to ensure predictable highquality releases.
  • Track and report product KPIs; use data to inform prioritisation measure adoption and improve timetovalue.
  • Balance shortterm delivery needs with longterm technical sustainability managing tradeoffs and stakeholder expectations.

followingqualificationswouldbeinlinewithourdesiredprofileforthisposition:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner/Manager on APIfirst or platform products with endtoend delivery responsibility.
  • Strong backlog management roadmap ownership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical fluency with REST APIs OpenAPI/Swagger concepts authentication patterns and integration design.
  • Practical experience with Agile/Scrum practices and ensuring story readiness at sprint start.
  • Demonstrable use of data and product KPIs to drive prioritisation and measure impact.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to present product direction to both technical and business audiences.
  • Fluent English (working language);German beneficial but not required.
  • Youre passionate about your work but also know how to enjoy your free time!

Nicetohave

  • Experience in Payments Cards or Financial Services.
  • Familiarity with API governance platform teams or microservice architectures.
  • Experience applying AI tools responsibly in product workflows (e.g. to improve discovery backlog quality or documentation).
