Job Description

Co-ordinate procurement activities with key suppliers for the Inbound Solutions Automotive and Pallets business. Supports the EU Procurement Managers and Impact Procurement Manager for the respective business units as required and administrative tasks. Maintain optimal supplier relationships and efficient ordering and receipt of all purchasing requirements ensuring that these are received in specific timeframes and adhere to international trade and customs regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Co-ordinate activities concerning the procurement of new and replacement products for specific customer requirements as agreed with the Category Procurement Product Development and Quality Managers.

  • Ensure Quality Certificates are obtained for all Inbound Solutions and Automotive products as per BRC/FDA requirements.

  • Ensure REACH declarations are available for all products/suppliers in portfolio (plastics).

  • Ensure all necessary CoC and related certificates are available for timber related products/suppliers.

  • Provide support to the Customer Solutions and Operations teams in ensuring that the correct consumables are ordered for the specified products.

  • Engage with preferred suppliers to ensure key product specifications are met and product lead times are achievable.

  • Manage the supplier and product database to ensure Procurement Policy is fully implemented.

  • Facilitate the workflow for Procure to Pay activity. Ensure purchase orders are raised within SLA for the replacement of specific raw materials bespoke work in progress parts and other consumables and overhead items in line with requisitioning parameters.

  • Expedite purchase orders when necessary to ensure timely deliveries and to make relevant personnel aware of problems at the earliest opportunity.

  • Co-ordinate with suppliers shipping agents and EU customs to ensure imported goods incur no penalties. Ensure process for storage of shipping documents is followed in line with audit regulations.

  • Co-ordinate goods receipt notifications directly with receiving location. Ensure process for minimizing late deliveries is followed and implement remedial actions when late deliveries occur.

  • Manage the query resolution process relating to supplier deliveries to enable invoice anomalies to be reconciled.

  • Ensure supplier rejection information is recorded and reported in line with procedures for root cause and corrective actions.

  • Prepare monthly spend reports and any ad hoc requirements for statistical analysis as required.

  • Manage all processes around regrind activities in co-ordination with Procurement Manager and internal stakeholders.

  • Request vendor creation and modifications for the respective business units and product categories.

  • Manage SPRM and contract management processes in co-ordination with Procurement Manager.

Qualifications:

  • G.C.S.E (or equivalent) Maths & English Grades A-C.

  • A-Levels (or equivalent).

  • Supply chain qualifications would be a plus.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in a Procurement role within FMCG market although graduates with no experience would be considered.

  • Some experience in an international company that imports from outside of the EU to multiple EU member countries.

  • Supplier Management.

  • Previous procurement experience of consumables.

  • Some ERP system experience.

  • Expediting of parts and materials.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Attention to detail.

  • Computer Literate.

  • Strong organization skills.

  • Excellent customer services skills.

  • Must be able to work logically and systematically.

  • This can be a highly pressurized role depending on customers requests.


Languages:

  • English.

  • Dutch French German Italian or Spanish would be a plus.
