. Process Engineer

Job Description:

An opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations Getafe (Madrid).

The selected candidate will join the Manufacturing Engineering Team playing a key role in driving industrial design standardizing manufacturing processes and supporting shop floor execution. The team works in a multicultural cross-functional environment to ensure safe robust and efficient production processes while bridging the gap between Engineering Supply Chain and Shop Floor Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Industrial Design & Co-Design: Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to introduce manufacturing best practices define build processes and specify industrial assets jigs and tooling requirements.

• Work Preparation & Documentation: Create and update routings As-Prepared BoMs and Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) while managing Delta 2 configuration management and technical sequencing.

• Process Optimization & Time Management: Calculate standard time values perform Standard Work and drive shop floor continuous improvement and CAPEX planning.

• Quality & Risk Assurance: Execute PFMEA/FMEA risk analyses ensure Health & Safety compliance and participate in Quality Control Boards to secure process capability.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface directly with Production Maintenance and Supply Chain teams to resolve escalated work prep issues and manage missing parts or MRP impacts.

• Industrialization & Modification Support: Drive the 1st installation implementation run feedback loops and evaluate industrial impacts of design modifications with IA ISE and TDE teams.

• Education: Aeronautical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering degree or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: Previous experience in Manufacturing Engineering Work Preparation or Production Environment within the aerospace or industrial sector.

• Soft skills: Strong communication skills high adaptability to work in cross-functional international teams and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Languages: Advanced level in English (Spanish is highly valued).

• Technical knowledge: Strong knowledge of SAP CATIA Airbus Process Specifications (AIPS/AIPI) PFMEA methodology and configuration management.

• Valuable / Nice to have: Familiarity with Airbus commercial referentials (A2853.3 A2019.1) Lean Manufacturing or CAPEX planning.
