Principal Engineer Utilities
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Utilities Engineer to join our busy and growing Transportation team within the Europe Design Center (Poland/Spain). This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of major Linear Infrastructure projects including rail highways utilities transit systems land development and multidisciplinary infrastructure programs.
Our team provides assessment concept feasibility preliminary and detailed design services for a wide range of transportation and infrastructure projects. We work with public and private sector clients through long-term framework agreements and Design & Build commissions across the USA Australia Canada Europe and the Middle East.
The successful candidate will be part of a diverse collaborative and multicultural environment supporting the development and implementation of BIM and Digital Engineering solutions across complex infrastructure projects.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Works under general direction with substantial latitude for independent decision-making.
- Provides technical leadership and support in the development implementation and coordination of BIM and Digital Engineering workflows across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Develops technical solutions to a broad range of complex design modelling and coordination challenges.
- Leads the production integration and quality assurance of 3D models and digital deliverables for infrastructure projects.
- Coordinates with engineering disciplines project stakeholders and digital delivery teams to ensure project requirements BIM standards and client expectations are met.
- Performs complex assignments involving multiple software platforms data sources and project systems to achieve project objectives and delivery deadlines.
- Supports BIM coordination activities clash detection reviews model integration and digital asset information management.
- Identifies opportunities to improve workflows automation data management and digital delivery processes.
- Prepares and reviews project deliverables providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
Minimum Requirements
- Proactive professional with strong communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Advanced experience with BIM Digital Engineering and 3D modelling tools applied to infrastructure projects.
- Experience in the delivery and coordination of transportation utilities land development and/or linear infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards model coordination processes and digital project delivery.
- 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a related discipline.
- Experience working on large-scale transportation rail roadway utilities or multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Experience leading BIM coordination activities and supporting digital delivery initiatives across project teams.
- Familiarity with data-driven workflows design automation and continuous improvement practices.
