People Ops Specialist – Health & Safety

At Factorial were looking for a People Ops Specialist Health & Safety to take care of our Barcelona office cover our other sites in Spain and support our team in Mexico. This role is essential as we keep growing: it combines the day-to-day operational support our team relies on with the responsibility of Health & Safety Officer (Técnico/a de PRL) across all our offices.

About the role

As People Ops Specialist Health & Safety Labor Compliance and Equality Plan you will be the internal point of reference on occupational health and safety and a go-to person for the teams day-to-day. Working closely with our external prevention service our labor advisors and the People Ops teams in our Business Units around the world; Mexico Germany Galicia & Madrid you will keep us compliant keep our processes aligned across countries and make sure the people here feel taken care of. Its an ideal role for someone with a strong service mindset real rigor and a genuine drive to make an impact on peoples wellbeing and safety.

What will you be doing

• Own Health & Safety for Barcelona and set shared criteria across our sites. You will be the internal point of contact on PRL and coordinate with the external prevention service (SPA) on risk assessments health surveillance and audits.
• Keep the offices prepared not just compliant. Emergency plans evacuation drills signage and health & safety training for the team - from onboarding to ergonomics and screen use.
• Investigate and document accidents and incidents. Track the indicators spot the pattern behind them and close the loop with corrective actions.
• Guard labor compliance. Workers Statute collective bargaining agreement working time records legal documentation and internal policies always up to date and ready for an audit or inspection before it lands.
• Move the Equality Plan forward. Implementation monitoring and updates coordination with the equality committee tracking of key indicators and ownership of the harassment protocol and related policies.
• Be the teams go-to for the day-to-day. Onboarding and offboarding employee documentation and the honest answer when someone asks about their contract payroll or benefits.
• Align processes across countries. With People Ops in Mexico and Germany sharing what works and contributing to cross-functional projects on employee experience culture and local employer branding.

Your profile

• Expert/ proficient-level Spanish and a solid level of English is a must! You handle labor law SPA and authorities in Spanish and coordinate international with other BUs!
• Degree in HR/ Occupational Health & Safety. Bachelors/Diploma Masters in PRL with the three specializations (Workplace Safety Industrial Hygiene Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology); mandatory to practise as a Health & Safety Officer in Spain.
• 3-4 years in Health & Safety and/or generalist People Ops/HR roles including working with external prevention services (SPA) and labor advisory firms. You know how to brief them and how to chase them.
• Solid knowledge of Spanish labor law. Workers Statute Law 31/1995 RD 901/2020 and RD 902/2020 and you can explain them to someone who has never read a single article.
• Rigor and attention to detail. In health & safety and compliance small mistakes have legal consequences and you treat them that way.
• Discretion and a genuine service mindset. You handle sensitive information responsibly and people feel comfortable coming to you.
• Proactivity and autonomy. You anticipate regulatory and safety risks instead of reacting to them and you keep moving in ambiguous or urgent situations.
• Comfortable working across countries. Cultural sensitivity plus Excel/Sheets to report on indicators (accident rates equality) without drama.
