Job Summary
LINE ENGINEER
OPERATIONS
As a Line Engineer you will drive line performance through standardization continuous improvement training operational excellence and process optimization ensuring efficient safe and high-quality operations while supporting new initiatives and improving machine facility and resource performance.
THE ROLE
OPTIMIZE ENABLE INNOVATE!
As our Line Engineer you play a critical role in defining line procedures driving standardization monitoring performance indicators implementing continuous improvement actions leading training activities and supporting operational excellence across the production line.
You will be reporting to the Senior Production Manager and you will manage:
1. LINE STANDARDS & PROCESS CONTROL
- Define work procedures for the line: startup and stoppages changeover product changes cleaning the machines and pipes vision program and consumables management.
- Ensure standardization with all the operations personnel.
- Identify center lining values per format and machine and follow up its accomplishment.
- Identify Quality devices and ensure the calibration program is carried out.
- Perform permanent visual management of the line.
2. PERFORMANCE & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
- Follow up the principal indicators of the line and analyze the causes including rejection rate per machine O.E.E. decrease breakdowns timings and wastage.
- Identify and make improvement proposals that eliminate the basic causes of deviations on OEE cost quality and security.
- Identify external and internal resources needed to solve anomalies.
- Be an active part of process improvements to achieve better performance of machines facilities and human resources.
- Participate in the launch of new initiatives.
3. TRAINING & SAFE OPERATIONS:
- Identify training needs of line personnel.
- Lead training execution.
- Ensure procedures involve safe behaviors in line operations.
YOU ARE A COTY FIT
As an engineer with industrial manufacturing experience you thrive in a fast-paced and diverse environment. You are results-oriented analytical and possess strong communication skills.
- Engineering degree (Mechanical Automation Organizational or Chemical)
- Previous experience of at least 2 years in a similar position in the industrial sector (pharmacy food cosmetics automotive).
- English and Spanish high level written and spoken (mandatory).
- Advanced user in office tools.
- Skilled in working with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Excel Word).
- Proficiency developing data visualizations in Power BI and preferably SQL.
- Analytical.
- Communication skills.
