The Role
The engineering department at Stark Future develops cutting-edge motorcycles from the
ground up. As Laboratory Technician you will be an integral part of our testing team
supporting the setup and day-to-day operation of our in-house physical testing laboratory.
You will work hands-on with test equipment and instrumentation prepare and execute test
campaigns and contribute to the continuous improvement of how we validate our motorcycle
systems.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer at the start of their career to grow in a technically
demanding environment develop expertise in physical testing methodologies and play a
direct role in the development of a world-class electric motorcycle.
What Youll Do
Support the setup commissioning and daily operation of the physical testing laboratory including test benches rigs and associated measurement equipment.
Prepare test samples instrumentation and test setups for scheduled test campaigns following defined procedures.
Execute component and subsystem tests performance durability fatigue and environmental under the guidance of the Laboratory Leader.
Record organise and perform initial processing of test data ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all test activities.
Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order coordinate calibration activities and flag anomalies or maintenance needs.
Support the build assembly and disassembly of motorcycle component prototypes for laboratory and on-vehicle testing.
Assist in the development and refinement of test procedures and laboratory standards.
Contribute to failure investigation activities by supporting physical inspection sample preparation and data collection.
Maintain a safe organised and well-documented laboratory environment.
What you will bring to Stark
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field (BS/BEng or equivalent FP Superior / Grado in technical disciplines).
Hands-on practical mindset you enjoy working with physical systems and take pride in doing things properly.
Good analytical skills and attention to detail particularly in data recording and test documentation.
Willingness to learn and develop in a technically demanding fast-paced environment.
Ability to work methodically and follow technical procedures with precision and care.
Good team player collaborative proactive and reliable.
A working level of English is required.
Experience
At least 12 years of experience in a mechanical or physical testing environment laboratory workshop test bench or equivalent (including internship or placement experience).
Familiarity with instrumentation and measurement basics sensors data acquisition or similar hands-on experience.
Some experience with mechanical assembly component handling and workshop practices.
Exposure to test documentation: following test procedures recording results and producing structured reports.
Nice to have
Background in automotive motorsport or cycling product testing environments.
Experience with data acquisition or post-processing software (e.g. LabVIEW MATLAB or similar).
Familiarity with CAD tools for reading component drawings and assembly instructions.
Some exposure to hydraulic systems mechanical actuation or contact mechanics.
Participation in university motorsport or engineering competition projects (Formula SAE MotoStudent or similar).
