Junior Software Engineer Infrastructure Team

At Factorial were looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Platform Domain and help us boost our wider organisation to the next level.

Since youll be taking AI-generated applications and prototypes to production you will interact with a very dynamic stack. You will work with modern web frameworks (like and TypeScript) backend tools and foundational cloud infrastructure. It is the ultimate playground to learn how apps are built deployed secured and maintained.

About the team

Our Engineering team is the engine behind Factorial crafting the tech that makes HR simple fast and reliable for thousands of companies. If you love solving hard problems and want to build something that truly matters come build it with us.

Were a team of 200 Product Engineers building Business Management solution that actually works for the people using it. Our core stack is Ruby on Rails and React but the interesting work right now is what were building on top of that: agentic workflows LLM-integrated features systems that behave probabilistically rather than deterministically.

What Youll Be Doing

The Enablement sub-squad is a brand-new high-impact initiative within the Platform/Infrastructure team. As our company scales past 1700 people we are seeing an explosion of creativity from non-product teamslike Marketing Sales Partnerships and the wider org. They are coming up with awesome ideas and building prototypes using AI for dashboards websites and tooling for their daily operations.

But sometimes they lack the technical knowledge to get these applications production-ready. Thats where you come in! You will work closely with the Infrastructure team (acting as a bridge rather than a traditional full member) to support these non-product teams turning their great ideas into fully deployed stable internal products.

You will be:

• interacting with non-technical stakeholders. Patience and soft skills are a must. Writing documentation and video tutorials. Organizing live training sessions.
• understanding and challenging project rationales. Proposing simpler alternatives pointing to existing tools or when it makes sense building an amazing tool that will provide value quickly.
• maintaining updating implementing software engineering best practices both for backend and frontend projects.
• contributing to CI (building) and CD (deploying) workflows.

• We are looking for a team player and great communicator a person who is comfortable helping non-technical teammates translating their awesome ideas into stable solutions and raising the hand first when anyone needs help.
• A true owner with a critical eye. We are looking for a person who likes proposing new things taking an AI-generated prototype and being responsible for building deploying and validating it for real-world daily operations.
• Entrepreneurial mindset even if you didnt found your own company having this passion is crucial to join our team. Things will move fast priorities might shift based on organizational needs and you have to be happy working at light speed.
• A hunger to grow: This role is a massive launchpad for your career. We are looking for someone eager to learn and evolve. Depending on your craft and interests in a year your growth path could lead you to become a DevOps Engineer in the Enablement team a Software Engineer in Revenue Operations or Growth or a Product Engineer!

Due to the collaborative native of this position we will give priority to candidates based in Barcelona over Madrid and Coruña.
