Your Role

Were looking for a bright hands-on Junior Counsel to join our Legal West team and support us primarily across game compliance privacy and AI governance matters. If youve completed your legal training at a top university in Europe the UK or the US - and you have proven to thrive in fast-paced creative environments - this could be your next career move.

Youll provide pragmatic legal support to a global cross-functional team and help our studios navigate game compliance data privacy and the fast-moving world of AI regulation in one of the most dynamic sectors on the planet: video gaming.

This role reports to our General Counsel supports amongst others our Swiss Compliance Counsel and works closely with our business teams and other legal professionals across Switzerland Portugal Spain and China.

Responsibilities

• Support game compliance projects and reviews through the entire game life cycle (a.o. testing launches new features live operations events monetisation mechanics and platform submissions) working closely with Product UA and Live Ops teams.
• Support the AI governance chapter including reviewing the use of generative AI and machine learning tools in game development marketing and player-facing features and helping maintain our AI compliance framework as regulation evolves (EU AI Act and equivalent regimes).
• Provide day-to-day support on data privacy matters including data processing agreements data protection impact assessments privacy notices cookie and consent frameworks data subject request handling and vendor privacy matters across all Western jurisdictions.
• Draft review and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor marketing and KOL agreements.
• Help maintain and evolve our policies guidelines and template library and playbooks for recurring game compliance privacy and AI questions and matters.
• Track regulatory developments relevant to gaming privacy and AI in Western markets and summarise practical implications for the business in plain language (including training).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business HR marketing and tech teams.

Requirements

• Approx. 3 years experience in a legal role ideally with exposure to technology compliance data privacy or consumer-facing digital products.
• Law degree (Masters level) from a recognized European UK or US institution.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and general familiarity with the AI regulatory landscape.
• Strong legal drafting analytical and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects with agility and sound judgment in a dynamic fast-paced environment in different time zones.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a solution-focused collaborative mindset comfortable working with colleagues across different time zones languages cultures and communication styles.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Curious proactive well-organized tech & computer-savvy and excited about the gaming world.
