The Role

Combine your business development expertise with a passion for international education as the Internship Placement Manager for this role you will take full ownership of growing and managing our host company network across the city. At its heart this is a placement and business development role: you will research prospects drive cold outreach pitch partnerships and match ambitious international students with life-changing internship opportunities.

Reporting to Regional Leadership you will drive the front-end sales pipeline during the sourcing season and transition into a relationship manager to ensure high-quality placement experiences.

Employer-Facing & Business Development Responsibilities:

  • Own and scale Absolute Internships corporate network across Paris by researching sourcing and converting cold prospects into signed partners.
  • Execute sustained outbound business development activity including cold calling and direct outreach campaigns to consistently expand the network.
  • Target and secure overlooked opportunities including international firms with Paris offices and local nationality-specific business communities.
  • Develop project-based collaborations with companies during the low season to build a diverse pipeline beyond traditional internship models.
  • Use the low season to strategically re-engage past host companies and secure early commitments for the upcoming cycle.
  • Maintain an accurate conversion-focused CRM pipeline to track every stage of the business development funnel.
  • Bring localized market insights and business development data back to Regional Leadership to help shape broader European expansion strategies.

Student Placement & Relationship Responsibilities:

  • Match international students to the right host companies to guarantee mutually beneficial outcomes and successful program completions.
  • Support students through interview preparation and placement readiness to ensure a confident first day on the job.
  • Maintain rigorous quality standards across all host companies to protect the student experience and the Absolute Internship brand.
  • Turn newly acquired accounts into long-term partners and brand advocates who return season after season.
  • Oversee and direct the seasonal Placement Coordinator to ensure seamless interview scheduling and administrative execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the Student Experience Operations and Regional Leadership teams to ensure flawless program delivery.

Who You Are

  • BD Whiz: 3 years of experience in business development corporate sales agency recruitment or account management with a proven track record of hitting commercial targets.
  • Resilient Hunter: Someone who is energized by the chase comfortable with cold outreach resilient through rejection and disciplined with pipeline follow-ups.
  • Relationship Builder: A natural networker who builds trust quickly communicates with authority and balances high-volume sales targets with an empathetic focus on student success.
  • Bilingual Communicator: Fully fluent in both English and French (written and spoken) with the ability to pitch to C-suite executives and support an international student base.

Ideal/Expected Qualities and Experience

  • Strong proficiency in managing sales pipelines within CRM platforms.
  • Based in Paris with deep knowledge of the local corporate and business landscape.
  • Intellectual curiosity an entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in an autonomous role with high visibility.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Able and eager to wear many hats and collaborate effectively within a small agile team.
