Job Summary

In Spain Thales Sistemas is specialized in Command and Control systems Tactical Communications and Modeling and Simulation addressing solutions in the domain of Defense and Security. Thales is the Spanish leader in tactical LandCIS (Communication and Information Systems)covering all the product life cycle (design development production ILS). Based in Leganés Thales Sistemas employs a highly specialized workforce of more than 100 people most of them engineers that participate in the following activities:
- Communications and Information Systems (CIS) to support Command function and Decision Making:
- Embedded electronics for military aircraft
- Tactical Communications
- Radio Navigation Aids for air traffic
As part of the STATS Team (software engineering team responsible for defining and applying DevSecOps quality and cybersecurity to the software development process) you will contribute to the automation and continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle on the Azure DevOps platform.
As a DevOps you will:
- Learn about and contribute to the application of practices such as:
- Continuous Integration (CI)
- Continuous deployment (CD)
- Analysis and metrics gathering for the creation of software control dashboards and performance monitoring
- Collaborate on the companys software projects in releasing versions by generating the final software deliverable to the client as well as providing solutions to various challenges and issues that arise.
- Be able to contribute to the deployment of cybersecurity applied to the secure software development lifecycle
Competences:
Technical/functional skills:
- Degree in Computer Engineering Telecommunications or Aeronautics associated with software development
- Interest in the software world software engineering processes and a desire to learn.
- Intermediate to advanced English level (spoken and written).
Other (advantage):
- Programming knowledge in any language.
- Basic notions of DevOps DevSecOps.
- Basic cybersecurity concepts.
Behavioural skills:
- Teamwork ability and good communication skills.
- Initiative to propose attractive and innovative ideas.
