Purpose of the Role
The People Advisor provides broad operational People Support across the employee lifecycle acting as a trusted point of contact for employees managers and the People team. The role combines strong People generalist knowledge with hands-on support in payroll employee relations recruitment onboarding learning performance management People systems reporting and People projects.
It is a part time role (675%): 27h per week.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. People Advisor Support
Provide practical People support to employees and managers on day-to-day people matters including employee relations absence management disciplinary processes grievances performance issues policy interpretation and workplace concerns.
Support managers in applying company policies local labour law and collective agreement provisions in a consistent fair and legally sound way.
Support performance management cycles including follow-up with managers documentation system updates and employee communication.
Contribute to the implementation and follow-up of training plans including coordination of FUNDAE training logistics attendance tracking and reporting.
Support Talent & Development initiatives coaching activities leadership development actions and learning programs where required.
2. Payroll Time & Attendance and People Administration
Support the end-to-end payroll process for employees in Spain ensuring accuracy compliance and timely execution.
Support on collect calculate and validate payroll inputs including working time absences overtime benefits bonuses allowances and other payroll-related variables.
Monitor Time & Attendance systems ensuring data accuracy correct registration of working hours and proper follow-up of absence leave and overtime processes.
Act as a first point of contact for employee payroll queries ensuring timely clear and accurate responses.
Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files including contracts addendums leave requests and other employment-related documents.
Support internal external and statutory audits by ensuring documentation processes and payroll records are updated accurate and traceable.
3. People Projects
Support or lead local People projects such as absenteeism reduction wellbeing initiatives engagement surveys recognition activities.
Support employee engagement surveys and follow-up action plans ensuring that feedback is translated into practical improvement actions.
Contribute to initiatives that promote a safe healthy inclusive and positive workplace culture.
Draft and coordinate People communications policies employee information presentations and internal updates when required.
Support the organization of site events wellbeing activities Griffith Cares initiatives recognition moments and other employee experience initiatives.
Participate in internal and external People-related activities such as job fairs campus recruitment employee information sessions and People training sessions.
4. People Systems Data and Reporting
Ensure People data accuracy system integrity and timely updates across employee lifecycle processes.
Provide regular People reporting and analysis including absenteeism overtime headcount turnover training payroll variables and other key People KPIs.
Use data to identify trends risks and improvement opportunities translating analysis into clear recommendations for the People team and the business.
Support managers and employees in the correct use of People systems including training guidance and troubleshooting.
Maintain process documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of People workflows templates reporting and controls
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Labour Relations Business Administration Psychology or a related field. Labour Relations is highly valued.
Demonstrated experience in an People generalist People Advisor People Coordinator or payroll-related role.
Strong understanding of Spanish labour legislation People processes and employee lifecycle management.
Experience in payroll time and attendance People administration or People operations is strongly valued.
Additional expertise in Talent & Development coaching employee relations People systems or data analytics will be considered a clear advantage.
Ability to understand the business context especially in an operational manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience with Workday CloudPay Time & Attendance systems or similar People platforms is highly valued.
Strong MS Office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI or other reporting tools are a plus.
Fluent Spanish and high level of English. Catalan is valued.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently anticipate needs identify gaps and follow through without requiring constant supervision.
Comfortable working in a changing environment with multiple priorities.
Compensation
The starting base salary for this position is 22.800 fix gross per year (part-time role - 27h/week).
