At Berry Street Yooralla we are excited to welcome passionate Educators to our High Intensity Outside School Hours Care program based at our specialist school in Niddrie. As Victorias leading provider of disability and community services were committed to creating safe inclusive and engaging environments for children and young people aged 5-18 with disability.

Were seeking candidates who either hold or are actively enrolled in a qualification that meets the Victorian ACECAQA National Quality Framework and who are ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people with disability.

In this role youll be part of a dedicated team supporting students to thrive beyond the classroom - fostering learning wellbeing and choice in a fun supportive setting. Youll play a key role in building strong partnerships with families schools and communitiescreating inclusive environments where every child feels supported and valued.

As an OSHC Educator youll work under the guidance of the OSHC Coordinator to:

• Deliver programs aligned with My Time Our Place Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
• Support children and young people with disability to participate in activities safely and confidently.
• Prepare activities food and safe spaces for sessions.
• Promote diversity and inclusion in a welcoming fun environment.
• Build strong relationships with families and the school community.
• Ensure compliance with child safety health and wellbeing standards.

Work Hours:

• After School Care: 3pm 6pm
• Vacation Care: 9am 5pm

Youll have a child-focused approach strong communication skills and the ability to create engaging activities in a safe welcoming environment. Reliability creativity and teamwork are essential along with the flexibility to respond to changing needs.

You will also have:

• Experience in the OSHC/Early Education and Disability Services sectors.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to be committed to empowering children/young people to reach their goals and to upholding quality and safeguards in your everyday work
• Willingness to support children/young people with personal care activities
• HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (with CPR Anaphylaxis and Asthma training)
• Working With Children Check - Employee
• National Child Safety Training (GECCKO Foundations of Child Safety Training)
• Qualification or actively enrolled in a relevant study under the Victorian ACECQA National Quality Framework
