Health & Safety Site Manager
Job Summary
Your Role
In this position you will be responsible for developing implementing and continuously improving the Health & Safety strategy and policies within the Distribution Centre. You will ensure that safety is fully integrated into daily operations and that all applicable laws regulations and company standards are strictly followed.
Working closely with managers and employees you will play a key role in building and strengthening a proactive safety culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of Health & Safety performance and legal compliance within the Distribution Centre.
Translate the corporate Occupational Health & Safety strategy into effective local implementation and action plans.
Implement monitor and continuously improve safety procedures policies and guidelines.
Conduct risk assessments workplace inspections and initiate preventive and corrective measures.
Investigate manage and follow up on incidents near misses and improvement actions.
Develop and implement Health & Safety objectives KPIs and action plans.
Promote a strong safety culture and encourage active employee participation in safety initiatives.
Coordinate safety training programmes and ensure high levels of safety awareness throughout the organisation.
Partner with managers teams and key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
What You Bring
Relevant academic qualifications and/or proven experience in Health & Safety.
Several years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
Experience with safety management systems (e.g. ISO 45001) and a solid understanding of applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to travel to other Distribution Centres abroadwe will of course take care of flights and accommodation.
Good command of English both written and spoken.
The ability to build strong relationships and foster a proactive safety culture across the business.
An analytical approach to identifying risks driving improvements and delivering sustainable results.
A hands-on mindset with the confidence to lead change and continuously improve workplace safety.
