Finance Team Manager

Shimano is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Shimano Iberia office.
As Finance Team Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health compliance and operational efficiency of Shimano Iberia.
You will lead a team of four finance professionals and oversee all aspects of financial operations including accounting reporting controls compliance treasury management and process improvement. Beyond managing day-to-day finance activities you will act as a trusted business partner to the local Management Team providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.
You will ensure that financial processes are executed accurately and efficiently maintaining adherence to local regulations IFRS requirements internal control standards and Shimano addition you will actively contribute to regional finance initiatives European accounting forums and cross-functional projects aimed at driving continuous improvement across the organization.

• Contribute to the strategic tactical and operational plans for the Finance function and support overall business objectives.

• Lead all financial operations including general ledger accounting month-end and year-end close statutory reporting tax compliance accounts payable accounts receivable and treasury activities.

• Ensure accurate timely and compliant financial reporting in accordance with IFRS local GAAP requirements and Shimano internal policies.

• Maintain a strong internal control environment and proactively identify assess and mitigate financial and operational risks.

• Manage cash flow working capital collections and payment processes to support business performance and liquidity objectives.

• Prepare budgets forecasts and variance analyses ensuring that management has clear visibility of financial performance and key business drivers.

• Manage external relationships with auditors tax advisors banks and local regulatory authorities.

• Lead coach and develop team members fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Drive process optimization digitalization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency controls and scalability within the finance function.

• Contribute to regional and European finance projects and actively participate in European Accountants Meetings sharing best practices and supporting alignment across Shimano entities.

• Ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders while meeting all operational deadlines and compliance requirements.

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA ACCA RA ROAC or equivalent) is considered an advantage.

• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive finance experience including some years in a leadership position.

• Experience managing the finance operations of a medium-sized commercial or distribution business.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS statutory reporting tax compliance and internal controls.

• Experience working with ERP (SAP 4 HANA) systems and financial reporting tools.

• Proven ability to lead teams develop talent and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business recommendations.

• Proactive hands-on and results-oriented mindset.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.

• Experience working in an international or matrix organization is preferred.

• Fluent in Spanish and English both written and spoken.
