Job Summary

Job Description:

An opportunity for a Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space Toulouse (France). The selected candidate will join a brand-new team inside the Military Derivatives department of Air Power.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse and validate metallic parts in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) as well as composite or hybrid structures.

  • Write and check stress dossiers justification reports and test programs.

  • Define justification approaches and ensure activity progress with Technical Authority support.

  • Support manufacturing by assessing non-conformities on structural elements.

  • Work closely with design engineers and communicate with internal/external stakeholders experts and civil or military authorities.

SKILLS

  • Education: Masters degree in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT).
  • Soft skills: Autonomous approach strong adaptability open-minded synthetic thinker and good communication skills.
  • Languages: Advanced level of English and Spanish (both written & spoken). French is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge: Good knowledge of Airbus calculation methods and tools plus an understanding of digital tools and solutions.
  • Valuable / Nice to have: Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
