Job Summary
Creates textures using photographic referencesdigitalhand-painted techniques existing texture assets and procedural workflows.
Paints stylized textures based on concept art whilemaintainingthe visual style of the showusing Substance 3D Paintand Photoshop.
Creates procedural textures usingSubstance3D Designer.
Possesses the ability to create adapt and iterate within a variety of artistic styles.
Showsa clearunderstanding of UVs and texturelayout.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of physically based shading principles including material properties such as albedo reflection refraction roughness and subsurface scattering.
Authors andmodifiesmaterials using standard and procedural shading workflows within the main rendering engines.
Keeps up with current artistic methodologies technological trends and tools that best support production and contribute to a stronger creative and technical environment.
Collaborates with other teammemberswhen necessary.
Follows the Supervisors and Leads guidance.
3-5yearsof experiencein VFX or animation industries.
1 years of experience in the animation industry is desirable.
Experience inRendermanand/orArnold.
Experience with Substance 3D package and/or Mari.
Strong artistic and/or technical aptituderelated to 3D animation or VFX.
Strong knowledge of UV creation and layout.
Knowledge of lighting modeling and scene optimization.
Experience managing large scenes complex environments and demanding sequences.
Knowledge of HoudiniSolarisor Katana is desirable.
USD and/or OSL knowledge is a plus.
Knowledgeofvegetation workflows(instances and scatters) is a plus.
Understanding ofdisplacement workflows (maps and geometry output) is a plus.
High English level desirable.
Spanish desirable.
