Electrical System Installation Design Engineer (Military Derivatives)

Job Description:

An opportunity for an Electrical System Installation Design Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space Getafe (Madrid).

The selected candidate will join the Military Derivatives department inside Air Power. The team is working on an exciting challenging and ambitious new upcoming military Program that will help reinforce European sovereignty. The jobholder will reinforce our team to increase capacities for the launch of this thrilling new project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

• Design and validate electrical harnesses electrical boxes and control units installation following associated Design Principles from architecture definition to in-service activities.

• Apply relevant regulations installation processes methods tools and procedures across all project phases.

• Manage complex systems integration with a strong customer-oriented view.

• Participate actively in collaborative and concurrence processes with Industrial and Production teams.

• Collaborate closely with other Engineering Design offices (e.g. systems analysis loads DMU/CAD) to define design interfaces.

• Provide technical knowledge and support to various stakeholders including quality purchasing supply chain and production.

SKILLS

• Education: Aerospace or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Engineering preferably with 2 years in Electrical Systems Installation.

• Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics in a collaborative mode strong interpersonal and communication skills proactive attitude and open-mindedness.

• Languages: Full proficiency in English and advanced level in Spanish.

• Technical knowledge: Electrical Systems Installation electrical harnesses design DMU/CAD interfaces and systems integration.

• Valuable / Nice to have: French language skills will be an asset. Eligibility for or holding a security clearance from recognized authorities is required.
