The Role
As Service Clubs Communications Manager you own how Service Club sounds executing an end-to-end verbal identity that spans brand voice messaging bold copywriting high-impact PR our employer-branding narrative and internal comms.
Service Club is a disruptor in a category that has ignored drivers for too long and your job is to give us our voicesharp edgy and unafraid in every market we operate in. By dominating the market with standout original content and aggressive SEO you will launch our mission into the global press and ruthlessly unify the voice across every touchpoint to prove that we arent just changing the industry; we are redefining it.
To achieve this you will be writing the launch announcement the tricky FAQ the campaign tagline and the partner-facing one-pager yourself establishing you as our ultimate in-house expert on voice narrative and PRthe go-to partner we turn to whenever a question lands on the table about how Service Club should phrase position or respond to anything.
You will partner closely with the Visual Content Designer the Marketing Lead Acquisition team and Product (so what we say outside the app matches what the app actually delivers). This is a hands-on role not a meetings role.
Well back you with the budget tools autonomy and trust you need to make confident calls and you bring the results to take Service Club to the next level.
What You Will Do
Brand Voice & Messaging:
- Own Service Clubs brand voice and copy guidelines: tone vocabulary dos and donts by audience (candidates drivers partners clients) and by market.
- Maintain the Messaging House: Build and update core positioning proof points and frameworks for leadership decks and team briefs.
PR & External Storytelling:
- End-to-End PR: Own PR end to end: press releases media outreach journalist relationships byline articles and any moment Service Club lands in the press. Build and maintain a press list per market and a PR calendar tied to launches milestones and seasonal moments.
Employer-Branding Narrative:
- Shape the Narrative: Partner with HR on our external employer brand across LinkedIn and career pages and support internal comms or all-hands messaging.
Campaign & Channel Copy:
- Write Strategic Copy: Directly draft high-stakes pieces yourself including headlines taglines launch announcements and partner-facing decks.
- Guard the Quality Bar: Review marketing copy on sensitive topics or key launches and provide templates so the team ships daily copy safely.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Drive Team Alignment: Partner deeply across the growth org to ensure verbal identity and visual identity move in total lockstep across every campaign launch and sensitive moment.
- External Management: Coordinate with Country Managers on local idioms and manage external SEO translation or freelance partners.
Performance & Reporting:
- Optimize via Data: Track PR signals coverage and copy conversion data to continuously iterate on and improve messaging.
- Business Reporting: Share a weekly written comms update with the team and contribute a clear narrative to the monthly business review linking comms work directly to business outcomes.
Process & Innovation:
- Stay ahead of the loop: Stay ahead of comms PR and content trends; pilot what fits Service Club.
- Scale & Automate: Document copy SOPs as we expand markets and leverage AI tooling (Claude Code LLM workflows) to multiply your draft and translation throughput.
What You Need
- Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on communications or senior copywriting experience in performance-driven environments.
- Strong portfolio: You can show specific examples of campaigns launches PR moments and copy youve owned end to end with the business context and the impact.
- Languages: fluent in Spanish AND English. Other languages are a plus.
- Sharp writer: You can write headlines landing pages sensitive announcements and partner-facing copy that lands without needing five rounds of review.
- PR experience: Youve owned press relationships written and pitched stories and managed media moments end to end.
- Ownership mindset: Youve owned a comms or senior copy function end to end (strategy execution reporting) and youve been the go-to voice person in your previous role.
- Multi-audience fluency and multi-market mindset: You can shift voice cleanly between candidate-facing partner-facing client-facing and internal audiences without losing brand and you are comfortable adapting voice across European countries without flattening into the lowest common denominator. Bilingual writing is a real plus.
- Hands-on operator mindset: You write the work yourself; you dont push every draft to an agency. Coordinating freelancers and translators is part of the role but not a substitute for your own output.
- Comfortable with data: You read coverage engagement and copy performance data and turn it into specific copy changes for the next round.
- Calm under pressure: You stay clear-headed when something sensitive lands and you can draft a tight statement on a tight deadline.
- Clear communicator: You can explain comms decisions to the CMO CEO Founders and Finance and translate narrative jargon into business outcomes.
- AI tooling knowledge: Comfortable using AI tools (Claude Code Cowork LLM workflows) or at the very least a keen interest to learn. You will use it to accelerate drafts briefs and translations. AI is a tool you leverage not a substitute for craft and judgement.
