Cloud Operations Engineer

Mission Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Operations Engineer to be part of the Cloud Ops team. The role involves being part of a team and being able to work as an individual on the day-to-day operations performance and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. This position is significant in ensuring the stability scalability and security of our cloud environments across multiple platforms (e.g. AWS Azure OpenShift).

Qualifications :

Preferred experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operations
• Demonstrated experience being part of a technical team in cloud operations infrastructure or DevOps environments
• Strong experience with writing infrastructure as code with any of Terraform Bicep and or CloudFormation (or other equivalent).
• Strong experience with automated deployment tooling with any of Azure DevOps (or other equivalent).
• Very good understanding of multiple cloud services in Azure and or AWS.
• Reasonable familiarity with networking data stores databases identity access management and servers operating systems.
• Experience in managing priorities and ensuring timely delivery of operational and project-based objectives

Required technical skills:

• Proven experience in cloud computing (Azure AWS)
• Terraform Infrastructure as code automation
• Experience with Azure networking tools (VNET NSG etc.)
• End-to-end DevOps automation via CI/CD pipelines to deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and usage of tools (e.g. Azure DevOps GitHub/Actions or equivalents).
• Proven ability to manage infrastructure environments configurations and workflows via self-service automation
• Proficiency in scripting languages: e.g. Python PowerShell YAML KQL other
• Knowledge and experience in testing automation harnesses and frameworks
• Understanding and ability to ensure operational stability and enforcement of security controls via Policy-as-Code and IaC automation.

Other skills or abilities expected:

• Proficiency in communication.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL-based service management practices.
