About the Facility

Macleod Aged Care is a 52bed residential aged care home in Macleod Melbourne close to public transport and local amenities. The home offers comfortable accommodation communal lounges and a supportive communityfocused care team.

We are looking for Cleaner and Laundry Assistant to join our aged care team at Macleod Aged Care in a (Casual) capacity.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner / Laundry Assistant to join our aged care this hands-on role you will help maintain a clean safe and comfortable environment for residents while also ensuring laundry services are delivered to a high standard.

This is a fast-paced varied role ideal for someone who enjoys staying active working as part of a supportive team and making a meaningful difference every day.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming mopping dusting and sanitising surfaces
• Clean and maintain resident rooms bathrooms and common areas
• Wash dry fold and distribute residents clothing and facility linen
• Ensure correct handling sorting and labelling of laundry items
• Maintain high standards of hygiene infection control and cleanliness at all times
• Manage waste disposal and restocking of cleaning and laundry supplies
• Operate cleaning and laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with care and hospitality teams to support a homely environment

What You Will Bring

• Previous experience in cleaning or laundry (preferred but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management and ability to follow routines and procedures
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks
• Reliable positive and team-focused attitude
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control practices (or willingness to learn)
• A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check or willingness to obtain this
