Your role as Business Finance Partner

This position will drive together with the other colleagues in the team the financial planning forecasting performance management and decision support processes for assigned business areas and areas of responsibility within the Spanish affiliate.

The role will also act as a finance partner supporting business decision-making through financial insights challenge and recommendations in a dynamic and complex business environment. It is expected that the candidate operates with a high degree of autonomy and independently identifies issues develop recommendations and drive financial evaluations within its areas of responsibility.

The key areas of responsibility of this position are:

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Drive financial planning forecasting and business outlook activities for assigned business areas and areas of responsibility ensuring robust assumptions transparency of risks and opportunities and alignment with affiliate targets.
  • Performance Management & Decision Support: Deliver financial insights performance transparency and recommendations that support decision-making resource allocation and achievement of financial targets.
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a finance partner supporting stakeholders in understanding business performance evaluating alternatives and making informed decisions.
  • Strategic Evaluations Pricing & Commercial Business Cases: Be responsible for financial evaluations related to pricing business cases launch preparations commercial opportunities business cases portfolio priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Capability Development & Continuous Improvement: Act as a role model within Business Finance contributing to stronger business partnering capabilities improved ways of working and continuous development of the team.

Your new department

You will join the Finance & Operations unit (F&O) where we enable the organisation to deliver on its purpose by safeguarding the business providing robust financial frameworks and driving value creation. The F&O department covers the areas of Business Finance Supply Chain Accounting & Tax Meetings & Events Procurement and Facilities.

Business Finance Spain is a strategic business partnering team that helps shape affiliate decisions through financial planning performance management business cases resource allocation and data-driven insights acting as a key link between Finance and the business. Over the last few years the team has evolved significantly from a more reporting-oriented function into a true Business Finance and business partnering organisation. Today the focus is not only on understanding what happened but on helping the business understand what may happen next and what actions should be taken.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and commercially focused finance professional who thrives in a partnering role and enjoys working in a dynamic environment. To succeed in this role you must bring:

  • A relevant degree in Finance Economics Business Administration or similar
  • Solid experience in Financial Planning & Analysis Business Finance Business Partnering or Business Insights & Analytics gained from the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in planning forecasting performance management and business case development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at different levels
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations including advanced Excell level.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and spoken)

  • Salary: For this role the Annual Base Salary ranges from 56640 to 99120 EUR corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidates skills competencies knowledge and relevant experience.
  • Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level location functional area and relevant market benchmarks.

About Company

You will be part of the Gulf Cluster sales team based in Qatar. You will report to the Country Sales Manager. The local team consists of approx 10 employees, and has highly-engaged and experienced members that are looking for a new teammember.
