Refinery89 is looking for a commercially minded and proactive Business Development Intern to support our growth across Spanish speaking markets.
This internship is ideal for someone who is curious about how businesses grow enjoys working with clients and wants hands on exposure to sales business development account management and the AdTech industry.
You will work closely with our commercial and technical teams gaining experience across the full publisher lifecycle from identifying new opportunities and prospecting to onboarding performance analysis and relationship management.

- Support business development activities across Spanish speaking markets by identifying new publisher opportunities conducting market research and assisting with outbound prospecting.
- Participate in calls and meetings with potential clients to understand their business needs and learn how to present Refinery89s solutions effectively.
- Support the sales process from initial outreach through follow up negotiation and closing.
- Help maintain and develop relationships with existing publishers following up on performance and identifying potential opportunities for growth.
- Research publishers competitors market trends monetization strategies and new commercial opportunities.
- Keep CRM information accurate and up to date manage follow ups and contribute to maintaining a healthy commercial pipeline.
- Communicate with publishers through email LinkedIn online meetings and calls while developing strong and professional long term relationships.
- Work closely with Technical Account Management Development Demand and other internal teams to support publisher onboarding and ongoing account development.
- Analyze publisher performance revenue data and commercial metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Develop a strong understanding of digital publishing programmatic advertising publisher monetization and the broader AdTech ecosystem.
Professional fluency in Spanish and English is required. You should feel comfortable communicating professionally in both languages verbally and in writing.
Strong interest in sales business development negotiation and client relationship management.
A commercial mindset and genuine curiosity about how businesses generate revenue grow and create value.
Comfortable speaking with clients asking questions understanding their needs and building professional relationships.
Proactive and results oriented with the ability to take initiative rather than wait for instructions.

Previous internship academic project or experience related to sales business development account management consulting digital marketing or analytics.
Experience communicating with clients prospects or external stakeholders.

Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for analysis.
Knowledge of digital advertising programmatic advertising online publishing or digital media.
Previous exposure to outbound prospecting through email LinkedIn or cold calling.

The interview process for this internship consists of three stages:
