2627 Assistant Track Coach, Escalante Middle School

Durango School District is accepting applications for an Assistant Track Coach at Escalante Middle School. This coaching position includes instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamentalskills strategies and physical training of track. The 26/27 Middle School Track season runs March 2027 - May 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of track
• Ability to build rapport with middle school students
• Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
• Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
• Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
• Ability to work positively with coaches staff and administration
• Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents
• CPR/1st Aid
