Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop wet services systems including:
- Water reticulation
- Sewer reticulation
- Stormwater management
- Internal plumbing systems
- Hot and cold water services
- Above- and below-ground drainage systems
- Rainwater harvesting systems
- Perform hydraulic calculations and engineering analysis.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports specifications tender documentation and technical schedules.
- Produce and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).
- Coordinate designs with mechanical electrical structural and civil engineering teams.
- Conduct site inspections attend technical meetings and oversee construction quality.
- Ensure designs comply with SANS standards municipal requirements and relevant South African building regulations.
- Liaise with local authorities contractors clients and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draughtsmen.
- Support project delivery from concept through commissioning and project close-out.
Minimum Requirements:
- BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years experience in wet services engineering within a consulting engineering environment.
- Proven experience in plumbing drainage water reticulation sewer infrastructure and stormwater design.
- Strong understanding of SANS 10252 SANS 10254 National Building Regulations and municipal engineering standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Revit MEP experience will be advantageous.
- Valid South African drivers licence.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
