Job Summary
Minimum 23 years of experience as a barista in a high-volume environment
Advanced knowledge of coffee extraction milk texturing and latte art
Strong understanding of coffee bean origins roasting profiles and flavour notes
Experience training or mentoring junior staff
Reliable transport to and from Klapmuts (essential)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Sharp attention to detail and consistency
Work on Fridays to Sundays
A warm guest-focused attitude
Advantageous (but not essential):
Barista certification (e.g. SCA CQI or similar)
Experience in a luxury hospitality or wine farm setting
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Experience with stock management and ordering systems

Train and mentor junior baristas sharing techniques recipes and best practices
Maintain and troubleshoot espresso machines and coffee equipment
Manage stock control ordering coffee beans milk and supplies to minimise waste
Develop and refine coffee recipes and seasonal specials
Ensure the coffee station meets hygiene and presentation standards at all times
Provide exceptional guest service engaging with guests handling queries and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Assist with Food &Beverage operations during peak times as needed
