Job Summary
Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor George
Department: Warehouse & Logistics
Location: George Western Cape

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of their George warehouse. This role is ideal for an individual who can work independently supervise temporary labour ensure accurate stock control and maintain high standards of operational efficiency safety and customer service.
- Manage the daily operations of the warehouse ensuring accurate receiving storage picking and dispatch of stock.
- Operate independently as the companys on-site representative while maintaining regular communication with the Warehouse Manager.
- Open secure and close the warehouse daily while ensuring site security and safeguarding company assets.
- Supervise and coordinate temporary labour sourced through labour brokers including task allocation inductions attendance verification and performance monitoring.
- Receive incoming stock and verify quantities product codes colours and documentation.
- Pick pack stage and dispatch customer orders and inter-branch transfers accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts stock takes FIFO principles and stock reconciliations.
- Monitor stock discrepancies and report shortages damages and replenishment requirements.
- Prepare daily and weekly operational reports relating to stock dispatches labour utilisation and warehouse performance.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements warehouse housekeeping standards and lone-working safety procedures.
- Provide professional service to walk-in customers and collection clients.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse productivity and efficiency.
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Qualification in Warehousing Logistics Supply Chain or a related field will be advantageous.
- Minimum 35 years warehouse experience.
- Minimum 12 years supervisory or team leader experience.
- Experience in receiving dispatch inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Previous experience within a building materials hardware manufacturing or distribution environment will be advantageous.
- Experience supervising temporary labour or labour broker staff is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Valid Forklift Licence will be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong warehouse operations and inventory management skills.
- Excellent planning organisational and time management abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
