Warehouse Operative

The purpose of the Warehouse Operative is to assist with a wide range of tasks in and around the Warehouse including but not limited to receiving dispatch stock counts and hygiene.

Required Skills:

Receiving

• Receiving all stock via the Qwix system
• Ensure all stock coming in has the correct pallet ID
• All inbound inspections (Packaging material & customer returns)
• Physical inspections taking of samples for lab and capturing on the Qwix system
• Finalizing admin tasks and scanning

Retrieving samples

• Samples must be taken of all stock received bulk oil in flow bins and packaging material and taken to the lab

Put-away functions

• Placing of stock in correct bin allocations when received from bottling or with inbound adhering to Qwix instructions on scanners

Picking

• Picking of stock according to the Qwix system instruction on scanners
• Picking of stock from load sheets if Qwix system is offline
• Picking stock to replenish Bottling daily

Issuing and transfers

• Transferring and issuing of stock consumables and chemicals to bottling and other departments according to the QWIX scanning system and requisitions

Stock take

• Doing stock takes and cycle counts as communicated

Rework

• Rework of damaged or QC rejected stock

Housekeeping

• Ensuring all housekeeping is done on a daily weekly or monthly basis according to schedule

Compliance policies and procedures

• Ensuring that you understand all policies and procedures that is applicable to your department

Health and Safety

• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
• Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
• Distribute safety information as and when required
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
