Vanderbijlpark Control Room Operator

Control Room Operators Grade B.

A vacancy exists for a Control Room Operator stationed based at the Vanderbijlpark Branch. The position will report to the Senior Manager. The main purpose of the position is to ensure Surveillance operations and report on it.

Requirement:

• PSIRA grade B renewed.
• Control Room environment experience actively working will be an advantage.
• Fully computer literate (Outlook Excel Word Whats App) and has the ability to work their way around and understand when being taught how to use other software programs.
• Good administrative skills.
• Security Experience Observe act and report.
• Excellent Observation and reporting skills.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Contactable references.
• No criminal record (This will be verified)
• Reliable and sober habits.
• Fire Arm Competency on Rifle Shotgun and Handgun

Main duties & Responsibilities:

• Establish and sustain effective risk management.
• Establishment and maintenance of an effective information network to investigate prioritizedcrime threats.
• Establish and sustain an effective risk management process in allocated micro work environment to identify and reduce crime enabling factors.
• Complying with Standard Operating Procedures of the Branch.
• Managing all aspects of the control room.
• Booking in and out of firearms to officers
• Updating the incident register on a daily basis.
• Able to exercise and maintain discipline.
• Booking sheets to be completed
