Unit Manager Neonatal

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced nursing professional to lead a Neonatal unit in Johannesburg. Our client is seeking a clinically strong and confident leader with specialist Maternity and Neonatal experience who is passionate about delivering safe high-quality care to newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective clinical and operational leadership within the Neonatal unit
• Ensure the delivery of safe comprehensive and quality nursing care
• Lead support and develop the nursing team
• Monitor compliance with clinical infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Manage unit resources effectively
• Promote a positive patient and family experience
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and records
• Support staff competency development and ongoing learning
• Collaborate with doctors and the multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to quality improvement and effective unit management

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Current SANC registration
• Postgraduate qualification in Maternity and Neonatal Nursing essential
• Proven Maternity and Neonatal experience essential
• Postgraduate qualification in Management will be advantageous
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Sound clinical knowledge of neonatal nursing practices
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity clinical environment
