Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Valid turret truck/forklift operator certification or licence.
- Previous experience operating a turret truck in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Experience working in narrow aisle high-rack storage facilities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment is an advantage.
- Ability to sit and operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights using a turret truck.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environments.
- Capable of lifting and handling products within safe manual handling limits when required.
- Willingness to work shifts overtime weekends or public holidays as operationally required.
- Operate a turret truck safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Pick replenish and put away stock in high-bay racking systems.
- Accurately transport materials between receiving storage production and dispatch areas.
- Verify product quantities and locations using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the turret truck and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure loads are stable secure and handled without causing product or equipment damage.
- Maintain accurate inventory by following stock rotation procedures and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist with stock counts and cycle counts as required.
- Keep work areas clean organized and free from safety hazards.
- Follow all warehouse procedures quality standards and safe operating practices.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff supervisors and other departments to meet operational targets.
