An experienced SERVICE ADVISOR is required for permanent employment based in Richards Bay.

  • This role requires a candidate with strong technical understanding of maintenance operations combined with excellent customer service and workshop coordination skills.
  • The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between customers workshop technicians and parts departments ensuring vehicles are diagnosed repaired and returned to service efficiently within operational timelines.
  • Proven track record and experience working with a diverse cross section of fleet and LMV MMV and/or HMV (Light Medium & Heavy Motor vehicles) will be highly advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing vehicles in for servicing repairs and inspections
  • Open and manage job cards for all service and repair work
  • Conduct initial vehicle assessments and accurately record reported faults
  • Coordinate communication between customers workshop technicians and parts departments
  • Provide repair estimates service recommendations and cost explanations to clients
  • Monitor workshop job progress and ensure vehicles are completed within agreed timelines
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service history repairs and parts usage
  • Ensure all warranty claims and service procedures are completed according to manufacturer standards
  • Follow up with customers regarding repairs service updates and vehicle collection
  • Assist with workshop scheduling to optimise technician productivity and workflow
  • Maintain strong relationships with fleet clients and commercial vehicle operators
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Service Advisor within an LMV MMV or HMV workshop environment (req.)
  • Strong understanding of vehicle servicing diagnostics and repair processes
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple job cards and service workflows simultaneously
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Computer literacy and experience with dealership service management systems advantageous
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment

  • Local residency or willing to relocate to location required
