Job Summary
An engineering opportunity is available for a Professional Engineer with extensive rail and civil engineering experience. Our client requires a strategic and technically capable Transportation Engineer who can contribute to major rail transport and logistics projects while providing strong discipline leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- BEng/BSc Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration.
- At least 10 years relevant experience within Rail Logistics and/or Rail.
- Strong understanding of drainage formation and associated civil engineering works.
- Experience with geometric and formation design.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Experience across Stage 16 engineering.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work on site for extended periods as project requirements dictate.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Drive civil engineering inputs across feasibility studies business cases and project development.
- Lead the planning and development of rail projects from initial scoping through to implementation.
- Develop project scopes structures and procurement approaches.
- Conduct quantified risk analysis and provide technical recommendations to support investment decisions.
- Lead integrated transport and logistics planning initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate engineering activities within major capital projects and programmes.
- Undertake assessments modelling and technical analysis related to rail infrastructure.
- Perform and oversee geometric and formation design in line with relevant standards and codes.
- Provide technical support during construction and monitor progress on site.
- Prepare engineering documentation for client engagement review and acceptance.
