Trade and Risk Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Trade & Risk Specialist will be responsible for managing trade-related operations risk checks and exceptions as part of the campaign. This role ensures that all customer bets are settled correctly customer betting behavior is monitored closely and operational activities are processed accurately efficiently and in compliance with internal procedures and risk management standards.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail analytical thinking and a process-driven mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Trade Resolution & Operations

• Resolve customer bets accurately in line with campaign rules and procedures
  
• Maintain accurate records and updates within CRM and trading systems
  
• Ensure all tasks are completed within required turnaround times and quality standards
  
• Manage multiple tasks and workflows simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
  

Risk Management & Compliance

• Perform risk checks validations and due diligence on transactions and accounts
  
• Identify patterns anomalies and potential risks within betting activity
  
• Escalate risk cases and exceptions timeously and accurately
  
• Contribute to managing risk exposure through sound decision-making and adherence to controls
  

Customer & Operational Support

• Respond to customer and trade-related queries professionally and efficiently
  
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
  
• Maintain high-quality written communication (clear notes correct sentence structure)
  
• Support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions
  

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Matric or equivalent qualification
  
• Previous experience in the betting / gambling industry is advantageous
  
• Genuine interest in sport with prior exposure to or experience in sports betting considered advantageous
  
• Trade and risk experience is advantageous but not essential (role can be coached)
  
• Experience working in high-pressure or shift-based environments
  
• International campaign experience advantageous
  
• Ability to work internationally aligned hours and weekends.
  
• Reliable transport for late shifts
