Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Position: Temporary Quality Engineer - Electrical
Ref: 5221
Location: PE/Gqeberha
Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience
Qualifications / Requirements:
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of motor vehicle electrical components harnesses specifications manufacturing processes and testing methods
Technical and Behavioural Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and application of quality tools (DOE SPC FMEA 8D)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Effective communication and presentation skills at all organisational levels
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally; valid drivers licence required
Key Performance Areas:
- Initiate and manage the qualifying programme for new electrical part introductions
- Ensure continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Test and evaluate electrical components and harnesses to confirm compliance with specifications
- Provide technical expertise on materials function and design of electrical parts
- Initiate and support design improvements for complex electrical quality issues
- Apply quality tools to support problem resolution and process improvement
- Interface with internal departments and suppliers to resolve quality-related deviations
