Join a growing renewable energy company as a Technical Sales Engineer where youll combine your technical knowledge with customer engagement to generate new business opportunities. This field-based role is ideal for an experienced technical sales professional or a junior Electrical Engineer looking to build a career in the renewable energy industry.
Job Description
- Generate new business opportunities within an assigned territory
- Engage with residential and commercial customers to identify their energy requirements
- Promote renewable energy solutions and qualify prospective customers
- Capture customer information using CRM and mobile applications
- Attend marketing events and community activations to generate leads
- Achieve weekly and monthly sales activity targets
- Maintain accurate reports and provide market feedback
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth customer journey
- 3 years experience in technical sales field sales business development or customer-facing sales
- Alternatively a Degree in Electrical Engineering with an interest in technical sales
- Knowledge of solar electrical or renewable energy products is advantageous
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRM systems
- Self-motivated target-driven and able to work independently
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is highly advantageous
- Alternatively a qualification in Sales Business or Marketing with relevant technical sales experience
