Your Role:
As a Tax Associate youll support the preparation of tax filings and bookkeeping while ensuring clients receive accurate timely and professional service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build expertise in tax within a collaborative and technology-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Making Tax Digital (MTD) quarterly updates and annual returns.
- Prepare Personal Tax Returns.
- Process financial information received from clients and third parties.
- Reconcile Xero transactions and accounting data.
- Assist with bookkeeping and tax compliance engagements.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax and financial information.
- Ensure accurate confidential handling of client data.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet client deadlines.
- Assist with ad-hoc tax and finance projects.
Requirements:
- 12 years experience in an accounting or tax environment is advantageous.
- Exposure to bookkeeping or tax compliance is beneficial.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine interest in building a career in tax and accounting.
