Systems Analyst

Location: Cape Town (Bellville South)
Contract Duration: 12 Months

An established organisation is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled Systems Analyst who enjoys working between business stakeholders and development teams translating business requirements into effective system solutions and supporting the delivery of reliable user-focused technology platforms.

• Collaborate with system users to analyse gather and understand business processes and system requirements.
• Act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Design and maintain computer-based solutions aligned with user expectations.
• Develop detailed system specifications including data models process flows and interface designs.
• Assess the technical and operational feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Perform systems evaluations and requirements analysis.
• Gather systems and systems integration requirements.
• Participate in solution design and cost-benefit analysis.
• Provide development support by clarifying requirements and assisting technical teams.
• Coordinate with developers testers and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in quality assurance quality control system testing and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain accurate system documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science at NQF Level 7.
• Industry-recognised certifications or accreditations in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years relevant Systems Analyst experience.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies system design and documentation.
• Proven experience in systems analysis project management and solution design.

• Knowledge and experience with software development environments and programming concepts.
• Exposure to:
  • MVC web applications.
  • C#.
  • .NET Framework and/ Core.
  • AJAX.
  • Angular.
  • JavaScript.
  • CSS.
  • Bootstrap.
• Experience with:
  • SOAP and REST APIs.
  • Web Services.
  • Cloud technologies.
  • Database management systems.
  • IT hardware and networking concepts.

• Analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
• A confident communicator able to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail orientated with excellent documentation abilities.
• Comfortable translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Able to work independently while collaborating within project teams.
• Technically minded with strong systems and integration knowledge.
• Professional accountable and delivery focused.

• Candidates must be based and residing in Cape Town.
• Must have reliable and uninterrupted internet connectivity at home.
• Must be available to work onsite in Bellville South approximately four days per week or as required by project needs.
• Must be fully dedicated to the engagement and may not be assigned to other client projects during the contract period.
• Required hardware and standard Microsoft Office software will be provided.
• Candidates must make provision for the annual closure period as non-working days during this period will not be covered.
