Surgical & Emergency Unit Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead the Surgical and Emergency Units at a private hospital in the Eastern Cape. This opportunity is ideal for a dynamic nursing leader with strong clinicalexpertise excellent leadership abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective leadership and operational management of the Surgical and Emergency Units
• Ensure the delivery of safe high-quality patient carein accordance withclinical standards
• Lead mentor and develop the nursing team to achieveoptimalperformance
• Coordinate patient care and promote effective multidisciplinary collaboration
• Monitor clinical governance infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives
• Assistwith financial stock and resource management within the units
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies legislation and professional standards

MinimumRequirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Postgraduate Diploma or Degree in Emergency Nursing (mandatory)
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Relevant nursing experience to meet the critical outputs of the role
• Proven leadership and people management skills will beadvantageous
• Basic understanding of labour legislationfinancial management and supply chain management principles
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry its challenges and key role players will beadvantageous
• Computerproficiency
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel
