Job Summary
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Rebar Detailer to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong Revit detailing experience including the development of Revit templates detailing standards and bending schedules for reinforced concrete structures.
Job Description:
- Produce accurate rebar detailing drawings and bending schedules
- Develop and maintain Revit templates standards and workflows
- Create 2D and 3D reinforcement models using Revit and AutoCAD
- Generate material take-offs and steel quantity estimates
- Ensure compliance with SANS standards and project specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver quality documentation
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 - 4 years experience in structural rebar detailing
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with rebar scheduling software (Probar Padds or similar)
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete detailing and bending schedules
- Knowledge of SANS 282 and industry best practices
Qualification:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Relevant Draughting or Structural Detailing qualification advantageous
