Structural Draughtsman Technician | Consulting Industry

A reputable consulting engineering firm is seeking a Structural Draughtsman / Technician to join its Durbanville office on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with structural drafting experience to work on a diverse range of residential commercial industrial and educational building projects.

The successful candidate will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team contributing to the delivery of high-quality structural designs and drawings from concept through to construction.

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D structural drawings and models.
• Develop conceptual layouts for structural projects.
• Manage drawing production revisions and document control.
• Ensure drawings are issued accurately and within project deadlines.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and dimensions.
• Coordinate with engineers architects and other project stakeholders.
• Perform ad hoc site inspections and prepare technical reports.
• Assist in delivering project requirements while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and project specifications.

• Minimum 35 years experience in structural drafting.
• Proven experience working on building structures.
• Proficiency in preparing structural drawings using both 2D and 3D software.
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards regulations and building codes.
• Site experience will be advantageous.

• Revit
• AutoCAD
• Padds / AutoPadds

Experience working on one or more of the following project types will be advantageous:

• Residential buildings
• Commercial buildings
• Industrial buildings
• Educational facilities
