Our client a company in the engineering and steel manufacturing space is looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to take full control and supervision of its stores at the Durban branch.
The role covers general and financial control of all stores including receiving tools and consumables. Day-to-day responsibilities include stock planning and ordering cycle counts and stock takes gas bottle and consignment stock reconciliation tools issue and receipt management requisition book control and timesheet management for all stores-related staff.

Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
- 8 10 years proven stores management experience.
- An engineering/steel manufacturing background will be an advantage.
- Computer literacy with intermediate to advanced excel skills is non-negotiable.
- A relevant qualification in warehouse management and/or supply chain management will be a distinct advantage.
- Strategic thinking and leadership.
- Assertive and persuasive communicator with a strong grasp of business challenges.
- General and financial control and supervision of all stores including receiving tools and consumables.
- Gas bottle count and reconciliation.
- Stock planning and ordering.
- Timesheet management of all stores-related employees.
- Stores cycle counts and stock takes.
- Tools issue and receipt management.
- Requisition book control.
- Consignment stock count and reconciliation.
