Our client is seeking a reliable and organised Storeman to manage inventory and daily store operations at their Port Elizabeth branch. Reporting to the Admin Controller the successful candidate will be responsible for receiving storing issuing and dispatching goods maintaining accurate stock records and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inspect store issue and dispatch goods ensuring that deliveries are checked for quantity quality damages and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records capture transactions on SYSPRO monitor stock levels manage reordering requirements and assist with stock control and distribution.
- Perform general administrative duties provide support to the Admin Controller and assist with counter sales when required.
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant qualification in General Office Administration Data Capturing Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a store or warehouse environment.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Experience using SYSPRO advantageous.
- Valid Drivers Licence.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
- Experience in a consumer or retail environment within the building supply industry will be advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and work overtime and weekends when required.
- Must be comfortable working in environments exposed to heat and dust.
- Strong organisational administrative numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good time management communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated disciplined reliable and able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook Excel and Word.
- Strong stock control knowledge and a systems-driven approach to work.
