A well-established retail company in Paarl is looking for an energetic and motivated Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service achieving sales targets managing staff and maintaining high operational standards.

Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric).
Minimum of 23 years retail supervisory or assistant management experience.
Previous experience in a retail environment is essential.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and POS systems).
Ability to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays.
Valid drivers license will be advantageous.
Experience in the liquor industry would be advantageous.
Wholesale experience would also be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Store Manager with the daily management and operation of the store.
Supervise motivate and support the sales team.
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer queries professionally.
Assist in achieving store sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure stock is accurately received replenished and merchandised according to company standards.
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory control.
Monitor stock levels and minimise stock losses.
Ensure the store is clean organised and visually appealing.
Assist with staff scheduling training and performance management.
Handle cash management banking and daily reconciliations where required.
Ensure compliance with company policies health and safety regulations and operational procedures.
Act as Store Manager in their absence.
