Key Responsibilities:
What this is really about:
- This isnt about following scripts and ticking boxes.
Its about curiosity persistence and a slight distrust of anything that claims to be working fine. - Its about asking:
- What happens if I click this five times
- Why is this button here
- Who approved this
- And then proving your point with evidence.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education relevant qualification in IT Computer Science or something close enough that you can explain what you do at family gatherings
- Or no formal qualification at all but a proven ability to find problems where others see features
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years spent testing software breaking systems or being the person who always finds whats wrong
- Exposure to different environments teams or tools (and opinions about all of them)
- Experience in manual testing with automation knowledge being a welcome evolution
Skills:
- An eye for detail that borders on obsessive
- The ability to question everything without becoming unbearable
- Clear concise communication (especially when something is very broken)
- Familiarity with testing tools and an understanding that tools dont replace thinking
- A natural curiosity and a refusal to just accept it works
