Job Summary

Provide skilled technical support during major equipment repairs overhauls and component replacement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Senior Artisan during major repairs and overhauls.

Assist with component removal and replacement.

Prepare tools parts and work areas.

Assist with maintenance and servicing activities.

Maintain safe and clean work areas.

Support maintenance activities in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

Artisan Aid Certificate.

Minimum 5 years experience assisting trade-tested mechanics.

Heavy equipment/mining experience advantageous.

Basic mechanical knowledge and practical skills.

Required Skills:

- Assist artisans with complex maintenance repair and installation tasks. - Coordinate and guide Artisan Aids under the supervision of an artisan or maintenance supervisor. - Knowledge of hand tools power tools and workshop equipment. - Identify and report equipment defects and maintenance requirements. - Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities. - Follow technical instructions work orders and maintenance schedules. - Apply mine health safety and environmental procedures. - Ensure proper housekeeping and safe tool handling. - Strong teamwork communication and problem-solving skills.

Required Education:

Grade 10 or Grade 12; Grade 12 is experience assisting artisans in a mining engineering or industrial knowledge of mechanical or electrical maintenance technical training or maintenance-related certificates are complete required mine induction and safety training.
