Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Site Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical engineering maintenance and infrastructure within a heavy industrial and continuous-process environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability safety and compliance of electrical systems while supporting maintenance projects and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee electrical maintenance and engineering activities.
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical distribution systems and plant infrastructure.
- Take responsibility for 11 kV switching and medium-voltage reticulation.
- Provide technical support for electrical maintenance projects and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical legislation standards and safety requirements.
- Support fault-finding root-cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
- Manage electrical projects upgrades and installations.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to maintenance teams and contractors.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation reports and maintenance records.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability efficiency and electrical safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant technical qualification.
- Electrical Trade Test.
- GCC Factories Electrical.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a heavy industrial mining manufacturing or continuous-process environment.
- Proven experience with 11 kV switching and medium-voltage reticulation.
- Strong electrical maintenance and plant infrastructure experience.
- Experience with electrical projects and statutory compliance.
- Supervisory or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety and applicable legislation.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Willingness to work in a demanding industrial environment.
