Job Summary
Our client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Service Desk & Client Support Co-ordinator to join their team in Cape Town. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced IT support environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring support requests are managed efficiently from initiation through to resolution.
The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between clients and technical teams ensuring clear communication effective ticket management and a consistently high standard of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor support tickets throughout their lifecycle
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding incidents and service requests
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Prioritise and track tickets according to business impact and urgency
- Escalate incidents appropriately when specialist intervention is required
- Follow up proactively on outstanding tickets and customer queries
- Ensure accurate documentation and ticket updates
- Assist in maintaining service delivery standards and client satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous IT Helpdesk or Service Desk experience
- MSP (Managed Services Provider) experience highly advantageous
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to take ownership of support requests through to completion
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Good technical understanding to effectively triage incidents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively within a team environment
