Our client in the automotive industry is seeking to employ a Senior Software Associate to join their team based in Coega Port Elizabeth.

- Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology System Support or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience supporting and maintaining production computer systems in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience supporting ERP systems particularly SAP and/or Evolve will be advantageous.
- Experience with database systems reporting and query tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Strong team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Knowledge of application support processes and system maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support existing software products and assist in developing new and enhanced ERP solutions.
- Provide application support for business systems and resolve user issues effectively.
- Investigate system incidents identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Analyse recurring incidents and recommend long-term solutions.
- Support system implementations before during and after deployment.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and Help Desk knowledge base articles.
- Monitor system performance and maintain data quality and integrity.
- Perform scheduled system maintenance and support activities.
- Manage support calls by logging prioritising tracking and updating incidents in real time.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure effective service delivery.
- Review and recommend continuous improvements to business systems and support processes.
- Participate in problem management and report recurring issues to improve overall system performance.
